FAST-NU Alumni Canada (FANAC) is the official alumni association of graduates of the Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology – National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan (FAST-NUCES) in Canada.
FAST was founded in 1980 and took an early and bold step into IT education in 1985, long before it became mainstream in Pakistan. That vision paid off. Today, FAST-NUCES runs six campuses across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Chiniot-Faisalabad, and Multan, with over 12,000 students, close to 500 faculty members, and more than 50,000 graduates working in technology roles around the world. About 1,500 of them call Canada home.
FANAC brings that community together. We fund scholarships for current FAST-NUCES students, help alumni find jobs and build careers in Canada, and support new immigrants as they settle into life here. We also work closely with FAST alumni chapters around the world and represent Canadian alumni interests back to the university.
FANAC is a registered not-for-profit organization recognized by the Government of Canada. Our work has been acknowledged by the Prime Minister of Canada, the Premier of Ontario, and federal and provincial ministers, a reflection of the impact our community continues to make.
If you’re a FAST-ICS or FAST-NUCES alum in Canada, whether you arrived last month or twenty years ago, this is your community.
